The Foreign Resort The Foreign Resort is a new wave and shoegaze inspired band based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. Fusing sweeping, reverb-laden guitar rock with the subtle use of icy electronic textures, the group seems most comfortably when it's evoking the sounds and feel of 1980s post punk and new wave. Following the release of Offshore, its 2009 debut album, The Foreign Resort has come a long way in finding enthusiastic fans outside of Denmark. Performances at notorious tastemaking festivals and showcases such as CMJ and South By Southwest have won over admirers who appreciate the band's homage to its decade of choice.
